So I just took the plunge and upgraded to a Nokia Lumia 920 running Windows Phone 8 OS. I’ve had it one day now, and I’ll have to say I’m liking it. I was really excited to get this phone because I wanted to try Windows Phone 8 (Haven’t been using a Microsoft phone for a while) and was also looking forward to having a great camera. I’m just starting to get settled in with the apps that I’ve installed, with the Metro UI, and with IE. I’m digging the orange color theme!
Here are a couple of tricks that I learned that have been helpful to me:
- Hold the back button to see a list of recently used apps (that are running)
- Press and hold on certain keys on the touch keyboard to activate menu fly-out with similar characters
Favorite app so far? Nokia Drive- the best nav app I’ve used on any phone! Love the 3D view, offline capability, and turn-by-turn directions.
